A Texas mom is reporting significant improvements in her children’s academic performance after pulling them out of the public elementary school where they were exposed to inappropriate sex and gender education.

“The advances in reading have been amazing,” Tara Carter told Fox News.

Carter pulled three of her kids – a kindergartner and twin first-graders – from their public school this year after disagreements with the school district’s curricula on gender identity and sexual orientation.

Her children have been making leaps and bounds in their education, says Carter. “They’re actually moving through it so fast that they’re going to complete it before the end of the grade year, and they’ll actually move up to the next level.”

Carter believes giving her kids one-on-one instruction has helped them significantly.

“There’s so many children [in public schools] that they don’t really get a whole lot of individual praise,” she said. “I’m able to give that because I’m focused one child at a time.

She also claims homeschooling has helped her kids’ “social well-being.”

“I think it’s so much better for the children,” Carter added. “Schools, I think, can really mess with children’s mental health, between bullying and feeling like they’re falling behind.”

Based on the results so far, Carter said she will continue to homeschool her kids and encouraged parents to consider alternatives to public school.

“I do not miss the school setting at all,” she said. “I’ve loved it [homeschooling] and the kids have loved it,” Carter continued. “You do not have to be a genius or have a teaching degree to teach your kids.”
