This week in Christian education (Dec. 12-16)

New Jersey Christian school fills shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child – Students and staff at Atlantic Christian School in the Egg Harbor Township of New Jersey filled 69 shoeboxes with toys, school supplies and personal care items for Operation Christmas Child, a program to distribute gifts to needy children around the world. Christian elementary school in Michigan “stuffs the bus” with Christmas donations – Students and staff of Ada Christian Elementary in Grand Rapids, Michigan continued their tradition of collecting a busload of donations for a local homeless shelter. Read more here.

Florida Christian school excels in Constitution essay contest – Trinity Christian Academy student Kaiya West won third place in Florida’s 2022 High School Essay Contest Celebrating Constitution Week. West won $500 and his Jacksonville, Florida school received a $1,000 grant for having the most submissions (34). Read more here.

Christian school in Missouri is bursting at the seams – Eagle Ridge Christian School in Cape Girardeau, Missouri is looking for a way to expand its facilities to accommodate more students. It currently serves 220 students with more than 100 on the waiting list. Read more here.

Christian school students in Ohio take the stage in “The Nutcracker” – Grove City Christian School students will perform alongside professional dancers and fellow students in a local production of “The Nutcracker.” Read more here.
