Christian actor, author and activist Kirk Cameron is bringing back a popular library event designed to elevate faith, family and freedom.

Cameron contrasted the purpose of his event, “See You at the Library 2024,” with the activities of Pride Month.

“We want to return to the American constitutional and biblical values in public libraries – not sequestered in little warehouses and church buildings – but in public libraries just like the drag queens and LBGTQ movement are doing,” he told Fox News.

See You at the Library 2024 encourages local libraries to participate in a nationwide series of family-oriented events on August 24. Last year, over 300 libraries in 46 states participated, with more than 10,000 people in attendance.

Cameron said his goal is to double the number of participating libraries this year.

“There is no time to waste when it comes to teaching our children what’s important,” he said. “We need courage, we need hope, we need faith. And that’s what our movement is endeavoring to instill into the hearts of parents and grandparents so that they can raise their children.”

He added that parents shouldn’t “farm out” their jobs to schools or churches or even conservative commentators like himself.

“I want to put tools in your hands so that you can do your job as parents and grandparents,” Cameron explained. “And your most sacred duty is to teach your children what is important, to love God with all of their heart and to care for other people.”

He also emphasized the importance of teaching children the truth about pride – both spiritually and culturally.

“Pride is not the answer; pride is dangerous,” Cameron continued. “Love, the supreme and superlative virtue, has always been opposed to pride. Love embraces humility. Love speaks out against sin courageously. Love never bows to the crooked and perverse whims of a culture that seeks to enslave your children and take away their future.”
