BBC is officially reprimanding its news presenter Martine Croxall for using the term “women” instead of “pregnant people” on air earlier this year.

“Giving the strong impression of expressing a personal view on a controversial matter, even if inadvertently, falls short of the BBC’s expectations of its presenters and journalists in relation to impartiality,” BBC’s Executive Complaints Unit ruled.

While reading a teleprompter to introduce a guest, Croxall inserted the term “woman” after reading “pregnant people,” essentially correcting the prepared script on air.

Many viewers praised Croxall, including author J.K. Rowling, an outspoken defender of women from trans-ideology, BBC reports

But BBC also received 20 complaints claiming Croxall violated BBC’s impartiality standards. Initially, BBC and specifically Croxall’s bosses were “intensely relaxed” and said they would take no additional action, Breitbart reports.

The complaints, however, claimed Croxall’s facial expression portrayed “disgust, ridicule, contempt or exasperation” with the term pregnant people, according to BBC.

After reviewing the matter, the ECU condemned Croxall for her impartial actions, claiming her words and facial expressions “indicated a particular viewpoint in the controversies currently surrounding trans identity.”

The ECU further claimed the social media praise Croxall received further demonstrated how her personal views skewed her presentation.

“Congratulatory messages Ms [sic] Croxall later received on social media, together with the critical views expressed in the complaints to the BBC and elsewhere, tended to confirm that the impression of her having expressed a personal view was widely shared across the spectrum of opinion on the issue.” the ECU said.

Although BBC claims to be politically neutral, the publication consistently publishes woke ideological terms such as pregnant people, and encourages employees to display gender pronouns, according to Breitbart.

In 2022, BBC required staff to complete “diversity training,” where they learned “there were over 150 recognised genders.”

Pro-transgender group Global Butterflies led the training and listed “xe, xem, xyrs” as possible gender pronouns, Breitbart reports.

More recently, BBC’s director-general and news chief resigned in disgrace after it was revealed the network had spliced together disparate parts of President Trump’s Jan. 6, 2021, speech to make it falsely appear as if he’d called for violence. Trump is now threatening to sue.
