‘Culture of death’: Free abortions and vasectomies offered by Planned Parenthood bus at DNC

Drug-induced abortions and vasectomies are being offered for free in Chicago this week, courtesy of Planned Parenthood.

The mobile clinic, which one critic calls a “kill your baby here bus,” is parked outside the Democratic National Convention (DNC), which kicked off Monday.

“This convention is likely to be a head-on display of unbridled abortion politics,” a report from The New York Times touted.

“A mobile health center run by Planned Parenthood Great Rivers, which serves much of Missouri and part of southern Illinois, plans to park itself near the convention and offer those services early next week to anybody who makes an appointment, delegate or not,” the report noted. 

The event apparently was sold out as the abortion vendor itself posted this message on its appointment reservation form: 

“Thank you for your interest in getting care with Planned Parenthood’s mobile health clinic. Currently, all free vasectomy and medication abortion appointments are filled. Please check this link frequently in case patients cancel and we are able to open additional appointment slots.” 

Planned Parenthood recommends those who are unable to obtain their free abortions and vasectomies at the DNC book an appointment at one of its brick-and-mortar clinics, or use the group’s mobile app to schedule “medication abortion by mail.”

However, buried deep in the DNC draft party platform document, on page 74, there is a reference to valuing “innocent life.” 

“President Biden and Vice President Harris recognize the worth of every innocent life,” it claims. 

But according to one journalist, the claim is “one of the most Orwellian formulations ever written.” 

“The phrase comes in the context of the ongoing war between Israel and Hamas, referring to its desire to avoid non-combatant casualties,” Ben Johnson wrote for The Washington Stand. “It could scarcely be less reflective of an administration that has moved Heaven and Earth to promote, protect, and defend the abortion industry.” 

National pro-life organization American Life League (ALL) also labeled the free abortion venue as a taxpayer-funded “kill your baby here bus,” a scene the group described as “intrinsically evil.” 

ALL’s Planned Parenthood watchdog group, STOPP, released a statement  in response to Planned Parenthood’s announcement about the clinic.

“Planned Parenthood has long been the driving force behind the culture of death,” said ALL President Judie Brown. “The Democratic party has been at the forefront of fueling the Planned Parenthood engine. Now that PP has chosen to provide free child killing at the DNC, the combination, or should we say bloody wedding, is complete. Let buyers beware lest they too become part of the national bloodbath. America is awash in the carnage.” 

STOPP reports regularly on how Planned Parenthood – America’s largest abortion vendor and, more recently, one of the nation’s largest providers of cross-sex hormones – is financed.

“Classified as a nonprofit, Planned Parenthood raked in nearly $1 billion in taxpayer funding in the last year, proving to the American public that their hard-earned money funds projects like free abortions at the DNC,” said ALL National Director Katie Brown.

“STOPP’s 2023 report on the salaries of PP CEOs, Planned Parenthood Great Rivers (formerly named Planned Parenthood of the St. Louis Region and Southwest Missouri) … was in the top 25 for the abortion peddler’s highest-paid CEOs,” Katie Brown added. “The Great Rivers CEO took in an incredible $327,733 for working at the so called ‘nonprofit.’ 

“By placing a kill-your-baby-here bus outside the DNC, Planned Parenthood is telling us exactly who they are. They want more of our tax dollars to do what they do best – abortions.” 

ALL Executive Vice President Hugh Brown asserted as well that the offering of free drug-induced “abortions, emergency contraception, and vasectomies at the Democratic National Convention is an act of intrinsic evil and is rooted in a ferocious hatred for human life, especially babies. 

“American Life League encourages people of all faiths to pray for the conversion of the hearts and minds of those entrenched and enslaved in the culture of death. And pray that the Lord allows humility, wisdom, and understanding for those lost souls perpetrating these atrocities, who need to be freed from the bondage of sin and death.”
