Iran retaliates against Israel, fires dozens of missiles

(Daily Caller News Foundation) – Iran retaliated against Israel on Friday in response to Israel’s comprehensive strike against Tehran’s leadership and nuclear assets, The Associated Press reported.

The Israeli military said dozens of missiles have been launched from Iran, with explosions heard above numerous cities across the country, according to the AP. Israeli interceptors are reportedly attempting to shoot down the incoming attack.

“Millions of Israelis rushed into shelters as ballistic missiles from Iran targeted major population centers,” the Israeli Foreign Ministry said in a statement posted to X. “We will take every measure necessary to protect the people of Israel.”
