State legislators have already pre-filed about 120 bills to curb liberal transgender ideology in the 2025 legislative session, according to Truthout.

That is about 50% more bills than lawmakers had filed around the same time last year.

The 13 states where lawmakers have pre-filed such bills are: Alabama, Arizona, Georgia, Indiana, Missouri, Montana, Nevada, New Hampshire, Ohio, South Carolina, Texas, Washington, and Wyoming. Missouri and Texas lawmakers filed most of these bills, the report said.

Some of the bills prevent males from entering girls’ bathrooms and locker rooms and competing in girls’ sports, while others seek to go further and define gender.

Notably, Senate Bill 89 in Texas seeks to define “man” and “woman” biologically, dispensing with so-called gender identity; it would also recognize only two sexes – male and female – rather than a litany of gender identities.

Additionally, HB 60 in Wyoming would expand the scope of the state’s efforts to keep males out of girls’ sports in schools. The state’s ban currently covers grades 7 through 12, but this bill would also cover kindergarten through 6th grade.

Meanwhile, a bill in Montana would prevent the state from spending any taxpayer money on sex change operations.

State lawmakers are likely to file more bills combating transgenderism in the new year since legislators cannot pre-file bills in most states.
