A Wisconsin teen with ties to a satanic cult has been charged with killing his parents so he could have the money and autonomy to assassinate President Donald Trump.
It was part of a plot to overthrow the United States’ government, authorities say.
Police arrested Nikita Casap, 17, in Kansas in late February after he allegedly killed his mother and stepfather two weeks earlier. He had a gun, $14,000 in cash and $14,000 worth of his mother’s jewelry when he was arrested, WISN reported.
Casap, from Waukesha near Milwaukee, is linked to The Order of Nine Angles, a neo-Nazi group with “strong anti-Judaism, anti-Christian and anti-western ideologies,” intent on inciting “chaos and violence,” according to the FBI, which calls it a “satanic cult.”
Police found a three-page manifesto about killing Trump, making and detonating bombs and conducting other terrorist attacks to ignite a political revolution and promote white supremacy, WISN reported.
Casap was reportedly sending messages in Russian, learning how to use a drone as a deadly weapon and talking with someone in Ukraine about fleeing there after carrying out the attack on Trump.
After his arrest, police interviewed a high school friend who told them Casap said he intended to steal a gun and shoot his parents, and that when they “saw 10 consecutive attacks in the news,” they would know it was him.
Casap is being held on a $1 million bond because he is considered a flight risk. He faces nine federal charges, including first-degree intentional homicide, but prosecutors indicated more charges may be filed.
The charges come as threats on Trump’s life continue to mount. There were two assassination attempts in 2024, and police foiled an Iranian plot around the time of the election.
FBI Atlanta arrested Aliakbar Mohammed Amin, 25, on Friday for making threats against Trump’s life. The Daily Wire reported that a firearm was confiscated from him during the arrest.
“Bottom line, the FBI does not tolerate threats and will hold offenders fully accountable,” the agency posted on X.
Meanwhile, recent surveys suggest the appetite for political violence toward Trump has grown among liberals.
For example, 55% of self-described leftists said in a recent poll that killing Trump was “justifiable.”
Democrat leaders have also failed to condemn attempts on Trump’s life or other politically motivated attacks, such as those against Tesla, the car company owned by Trump advisor Elon Musk.
“These attitudes are not fringe – they reflect an emergent assassination culture, grounded in far-left authoritarianism and increasingly normalized in digital discourse,” the poll’s analysis found.
