Former All-American swimmer Riley Gaines took a verbal shot at President Biden’s grasp on reality after he announced his bid for a second presidential term.

“President Biden says he wants to treat people equally, yet his administration has all but declared war on Title IX,” Gaines told Fox News. “Furthermore, just last week, every member of Biden’s political party voted against protecting women’s sports in the U.S. Congress.”

Title IX is the 1975 civil rights bill that has historically protected women’s athletics at the collegiate level by prohibiting discrimination based on biological sex.

Biden and the Democrats, however, have expanded Title IX to include gender identity, allowing biological males who claim to be women to compete against biological females.

Gaines said that protecting women’s participation in sports should be a common-sense, not partisan, issue.

“Yet more and more women are realizing their biological reality is being attacked by politicians pandering to their base instead of protecting women’s rights,” said Gaines, referring to Biden and the Democrats.

It’s not the first time that Gaines has ripped Biden and his leftist party cohorts.

Last week, Gaines denounced a Biden threat to veto any legislation that prevents transgendered men from competing against women in athletics.

“The president has declared that science, truth and common sense no longer matter, Gaines said. “In opposing this bill, President Biden is catering to a radical minority at the expense of women, who are 51% of the population.”

One Democratic Maryland lawmaker, Rep. Glenn Ivy, said that the GOP attempt to protect women through a ban on transgender participation in women’s sports was a “violation of a student’s personal dignity.”

“Checking birth certificate and/or ensuring everyone has a routine physical before competing = egregious violation of personal dignity,” Gaines responded sarcastically to Ivy. “Forcing girls to undress in front of an intact and exposed male = NOT an egregious violation of personal dignity, but rather kind and inclusive.”

Earlier this year, transgender swimmer Lia Thomas, who set records in the NCAA women’s division after a middling career as a male swimmer, was accused of exposing herself and her male genitalia to her fellow teammates.

“We did not give our consent, they did not ask for our consent,” Gaines said of the incident, according to the UK’s Daily Mail. “In that locker room, we turned around and there’s a 6’4″ biological man dropping his pants and watching us undress, and we were exposed to male genitalia.”

So far, Biden has made protecting transgender participation in women’s sports a key piece of his reelection bid, including it in a recent speech honoring 2023 national and state Teachers of the Year.

“But across the country of late from our – some of our friends on the extreme right, LBG [LGBTQ] students and teachers are under attack from hateful laws,” said Biden in prepared remarks to the assembled teachers at the event.

In actuality, 219 of 222 Republicans, including those in the center, not just those on Biden’s imagined “extreme right,” supported the proposed House ban on transgender athletes competing against women.

There were 203 Democrat “no” votes for the measure, with 10 members not voting.

And it’s not just Republicans who object to the unfair competition.

Polls have consistently found that a vast majority of Americans oppose biological males competing against biological females in sporting events, with a recent NPR/Ipsos poll showing that just 24% of Americans adults support transgendered males competing against biological females.
