Another famous liberal white woman has left the United States thanks to President Donald Trump.

Actress Rosie O’Donnell recently revealed she left the country after her longtime nemesis Trump won the 2024 presidential election.

O’Donnell now lives in Ireland, moving there with her child Clay in January. She is going through the citizenship process, since she has Irish grandparents.

“Although I was never someone who thought I would move to another country, that’s what I decided would be the best for myself and my 12-year-old child,” O’Donnell said in a recent TikTok video.

“It’s been pretty wonderful, I have to say. The people are so loving and so kind, so welcoming. And I’m very grateful.”

The openly gay comedian and former talk show host said there are downsides to the move and she may one day return to the United States.

“I miss my other kids. I miss my friends. I miss many things about life there at home, and I’m trying to find a home here in this beautiful country,” she said. “And when it is safe for all citizens to have equal rights there in America, that’s when we will consider coming back.”

O’Donnell’s disdain for Trump goes far beyond politics.

In December 2006, Trump refused to fire Miss USA Tara Conner after her underage drinking and drug use became public. The Miss USA pageant co-owner said he believed in second chances and would let her keep her crown if she went to rehab, which she did.

“I’ve always been a believer in second chances,” Trump said on Dec. 19, 2006. “Tara is a good person. Tara has tried hard. Tara is going to be given a second chance.”

O’Donnell co-hosted The View at the time, and while the other women on the show praised Trump, she attacked him, saying she “didn’t enjoy him,” noting he went bankrupt and likening him to a “snake-oil salesman on Little House On The Prairie.”

“This is not a self-made man,” she added.

In response, Trump denied going bankrupt, called her “fat” and a “loser” and threatened to sue her.

“You can’t make false statements. Rosie will rue the words she said,” Trump said. “I’ll most likely sue her for making those false statements – and it’ll be fun. Rosie’s a loser. A real loser. I look forward to taking lots of money from my nice fat little Rosie.”

Over the years, Trump also said he felt sorry for her romantic partner, mocked her for low television ratings and chastised The View for bringing her back in 2014.

And when political commentator Megyn Kelly started a question in an August 2015 Republican presidential debate by telling Trump he had called women he disliked “fat pigs, dogs, slobs and disgusting animals,” he interjected with “Only Rosie O’Donnell.”

While many other celebrities have promised to leave the United States if Trump won re-election, few have delivered.

Comedian Ellen DeGeneres and her civil law spouse left the United States after Trump won, and now live in the United Kingdom. TMZ reported DeGeneres, who supported Harris, decided it was time to “get the hell out” following Trump’s victory.

Additionally, actress America Ferrera moved to London in November after Trump’s victory.

“America is sick that Donald Trump is President again. She is devastated that Kamala lost. She thought the country she lived in was better than that,” a source told the Daily Mail.

However, others such as actress Lena Dunham, singer Cher and transgender rights activist Laverne Cox, who promised to leave the country if Trump won, have apparently yet to do so.
