Christian school prays with nation for injured alumnus and NFL player Damar Hamlin – Central Catholic High School in Pittsburgh – the alma mater of Damar Hamlin, who suffered cardiac arrest during Monday Night Football – prayed for healing for their famous alumnus. “The Lord be with (Hamlin) and hold him in the palm of his hand,” said Brother Mike Andrejko, president of the school. Remarkably, Hamlin spoke with his team on Friday from his hospital bed. Read more here.

Christian school celebrates educator’s 45 years of service – North Hills Christian School in North Carolina honored teacher Doris Plummer’s 45 years of faithful service at the school. Plummer taught a variety of subjects and eventually served as assistant principal. Her “priority has always been to see every student reach his or her God-given potential,” said Maria Lowder, the school’s executive director. Read more here.

Christian school uses urban farm as a classroom – New Hope Christian Academy in Memphis, Tennessee created its own urban farm to teach students about nutrition and gardening. They grow a large variety of fruits, vegetables and herbs – from apples and strawberries to pineapple sage. “We want to show our students the diversity of what can be grown here in Memphis,” said horticulturist David Vaughan. Christian school celebrates 40th anniversary – Riverside Christian School in East Grand Forks, Minnesota is celebrating its 40th anniversary by hosting an open house for new students. Families with preschool to high school students are encouraged to meet with staff, tour the facilities, and consider enrolling for the 2023-2024 school year. Read more here.
