A trans-identifying biological man – arrested twice for possession of child sexual abuse material – has been sentenced to one year in county jail for child trafficking, as part of a plea agreement that dropped several additional charges.

Clayton William Solberg, 24, of Wisconsin was first arrested in Trempealeau County Dec. 27, 2023, after the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) notified the sheriff’s office of Solberg’s illegal cyber activity, according to the Trempealeau County Times. He was charged with two counts of child pornography possession but released from Trempealeau County jail on a $2,500 cash bond.

The court forbid Solberg from having contact with any minors or vulnerable adults and prohibited him from internet access or possessing internet accessible devices, Reduxx reports. Before his initial arrest in December of 2023, Solberg ran several social media accounts and an Only Fans account, where he posted explicit images of his surgically altered body. He also ran an Instagram page and posted cartoon content relating to transgenderism, BLM, Antifa and political violence, according to Reduxx.

Shortly after his release on bail, however, NCMEC discovered Solberg’s female aliases – Sofie Solberg and Sofie Fordo – which he was allegedly using to transfer child sexual abuse material on Dropbox. Police issued a search warrant of Solberg’s Google Photos account and discovered child pornography and the evidence of sexual abuse. The explicit images and videos depicted the abuse of young children and at least one infant, the County Times reports.

Additionally, Trempealeau County deputies searched Solberg’s home May 7, 2024 and found three internet accessible devices. Solberg was arrested for child pornography possession and bail violation, according to the police press release

This time, the court set a $20,000 cash bond, again prohibiting Solberg’s internet access and contact with minors. Solberg pleaded not guilty to charges of child pornography and entered a no contest plea to a single count of child trafficking. Soliciting, facilitating or transferring explicit content of a child qualifies as child trafficking under Wisconsin law, Reduxx reports.

By pleading to one felony conviction of child trafficking, Solberg saw the other charges dropped, including multiple counts of child pornography possession and his previous bail violation. These charges were dismissed but “read in” – meaning the court would consider the conduct, but prosecutors could not seek additional convictions, according to Reduxx.

Solberg was taken into custody Dec. 5 and placed on six years’ probation – the first year of which he will serve in Trempealeau County Jail, according to jail records. After that year, he will “begin probation supervision in the community,” Reduxx reports.
