“Well, President-elect and former President, Donald: Congratulations. Looking forward to a smooth transition…Welcome back,” Biden said to Trump as the two shook hands.
“Thank you very much,” Trump replied. “Politics is tough and it’s in many cases not a nice world, but it is a nice world today. I appreciate it very much.”
The two are expected to meet privately today to discuss details of the transition of power.
