The daughter of an 86-year-old Holocaust survivor who was shot at Bondi Beach in Sydney, Australia, blamed media bias and leftist politicians for the rise in antisemitism, which culminated in 15 deaths from Sunday’s shooting.

“Is this what you wanted?” the woman, Victoria, told reporters from ABC News Australia. “Is this enough now? Will you listen to us?”

The woman’s wounded father faces multiple surgeries but is “in good spirits,” she told the media.

She criticized Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and Foreign Affairs Minister Penny Wong, who leads Australia’s Senate, then blamed the mainstream media – including ABC – for unfair coverage of Israel.

“Will you cut out the biased reporting?” she asked, saying it was “part of the reason that the Jewish people have experienced such a massive change in Australia towards us,” especially since Hamas massacred 1,200 Israelis on Oct. 7, 2023.
