Watch: Deadly California crash captured on camera; semi-truck driver in country illegally, arrested for DUI 

A deadly crash outside Los Angeles was captured on a dash camera Tuesday, showing a semi-truck plowing through several vehicles. 

Three people are dead and four others were injured in the crash on the 10 Freeway in Ontario, California, just east of the 15 Freeway, KABC reported.

The 21-year-old driver of the semi-truck was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs, the outlet reported. CBS News identifies him as Jashanpreet Singh, “an Indian national who entered the country by crossing the U.S.-Mexico border in 2022,” citing federal immigration officials. 

Several high-profile crashes involving immigrant truck drivers have prompted a broader crackdown by the Department of Homeland Security.
