Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker tried to claim Chicago was “not in the top 30 in terms of our murder rate,” Thursday but was quickly confronted with a map suggesting it was No. 1.

Fox News host Brett Baier pulled up the map showing the Windy City’s murder rate topped other large cities, including New York, Philadelphia, Los Angeles and Houston.

“You’re talking about violent crime,” Baier said, to which Pritzker responded, “you can pull statistics up; I can too.”

“Our murder rate has been cut in half over the last four years and every year it’s gone down by double digits,” the Democrat and possible 2028 presidential candidate said.

Research from Wirepoints suggests Chicago has topped America’s 20 biggest cities for homicides every year for at least a decade.
