A young man criticized the Hays, Kansas, public library for displaying books with graphic, sexual content in a space frequented by children and teens.

The “Banned Books” display, located by the library’s computer lab and video game area, includes titles that describe what “glory holes” and “blowjobs” are, the young man said at a recent library board meeting discussing Banned Book Week.

“My question is, why would we be sharing this information to little kids?” he asked. “They don’t need to know that.”

“Yesterday I was at a Turning Point USA event where they were talking about the value of human life, and I believe these are more topics that we should be presenting to kids, even in a banned book section, (such as the) Diary of Anne Frank.”
