Watch: ‘Mayday! Mayday! Mayday!’ Yemeni Houthis release footage of cargo ship sunk in Red Sea

The Iran-backed Houthi’s of Yemen released footage Monday of a cargo ship they took over and sank in the Red Sea.

“Mayday! Mayday! Mayday!” shouted the Magic Seas captain as the rebel group, which controls part of Yemen, approached.

All 22 crew members of the Liberian-flagged, Greek-owned ship were allowed to escape, the Associated Press reported.

The Houthi’s claimed the ship was targeted for violating its ban on navigating to “occupied Palestinian ports,” Roya News reported.
