Watch: Melania Trump enters education summit with humanoid robot

First lady Melania Trump’s entrance to the Fostering the Future Together Global Summit at the White House on Wednesday included a talking humanoid robot walking alongside her.

After Trump reached her position at the table, next to French first lady Brigitte Macron, the robot went to the front of the table and addressed the audience.

“I’m Figure 03, a humanoid built in the United States of America. I am grateful to be part of this historic movement to empower children with technology and education.”

The humanoid then said “Welcome” in multiple languages, including French and Portuguese.

Trump is hosting representatives from 45 nations at the two-day event to discuss how to use artificial intelligence in education and keep children safe online.
