Sen. Josh Hawley, R-Missouri, bested a West Point cadet in an impromptu push-up competition Thursday, completing 53 push-ups.
“The senator’s got him!” shouted one of the service members watching the contest, which took place in the hallway of a government building.
“I got more,” Hawley said, adding, “I lifted chest this morning.”
Hawley later posted a video of the competition on social media.
