Should U.S. taxpayers spend $3 million for circumcisions and vasectomies in Zambia? Sen. John Kennedy, R-Louisiana, says expenses like that are the reason Democrats shut down the government.

“These are the demands,” he said Friday, the third day of the government shutdown. 

“We found $3.6 million for pastry cooking classes and dance focus groups for male prostitutes in Haiti,” he said. “I kid you not. I’m not making this up. It was in the budget under President Biden. 

“We took it out. Congresswoman Ocasio-Cortez and the socialist wing – the loon wing – of the Democratic Party say, ‘We’re going to shut down the government until you put it back in.’”
