Watch: Stephen A. Smith rips Gavin Newsom for opposing Trump at Davos

Stephen A. Smith ripped California Gov. Gavin Newsom for speaking against President Donald Trump at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. 

“Gavin Newsom, respectfully, what are you doing?” Smith asked on his show, Straight Shooter. 

“To go over to another country, Switzerland, to go over there and to be in the presence of other European leaders speaking against the President of the United States. I’m not down with that at all.” 

Newsom, a Democrat, was widely thought to be there to raise his profile ahead of the 2028 presidential election, but Smith wasn’t impressed. 

“You don’t go on a world stage to disrespect your own house, which is the United States of America,” he said.
