Watch: ‘Trans non-binary’ drag queen running for California state Senate 

A drag queen is seeking to become the first transgender person elected to the California state Senate. 

Maebe A. Girl, who describes herself as “trans non-binary,” is running for office under the slogan, “Keep fascism out of California.” Her opening words in her campaign video are, “ICE needs to get the f*** out of California,” a reference to Immigration and Customs Enforcement. 

The elected member of Los Angeles’ Silver Lake Neighborhood Council is “fighting to make California affordable, safe, and inclusive for all” in what sounds like a socialist’s dream. 

“Tuition-free college, health care for all, housing for all, renter’s rights,” she says. “We can have all of these things. We deserve all of these things.”
