Watch: Trump says he loves Sydney Sweeney ad after learning she’s a Republican

President Donald Trump says he loves actress Sydney Sweeney’s ad for blue jeans after hearing she’s a registered Republican.

“She’s a registered Republican? Oh, now I love her ad,” he told reporters before boarding the Marine One helicopter.

“You’d be surprised at how many people are Republicans,” he added.

The ad, for American Eagle jeans, has generated controversy since Sweeney, an attractive 27-year-old white woman, crosses out the phrase “great genes” and replaces it with the word “jeans.”
