A woman who lost her bid for the Frederick County, Maryland, school board pulled a stunt at a May meeting to make a point about transgenderism.

Heather Fletcher, who ran unsuccessfully for the board three years ago, walked up and took a seat on the dais with the other board members.

“I, Heather Fletcher, identify as a Board of Education member, and my pronouns are, I won,” she declared, waving a scepter with a star on top.

When asked to leave, she responded, “Why, is this not correct? Can I not just be anything that I want to be? Can I not just be a man if I want to be?

“I’m living in your reality and I’m trying to just go with the flow,” she continued, as a member of the audience called her a “transphobe.”

“I guess it isn’t reality,” she said while stepping down. “Quit lying to our kids.”
