Watch: Woman in her 60s fills potholes herself instead of waiting on the city

A Michigan woman in her 60s is filling potholes on her street instead of waiting on the city. 

Betty Lewis-Rand of Pontiac, which is near Detroit, was caught on video shoveling material into large potholes on her street.  

“It’s disheartening because she gives back to this community and attends meetings to get her voice heard, but nobody is hearing her,” one of her family members told local media. 

The city says it needs more money from the state to adequately repair its streets.
