‘We have to do it now’: JD Vance urges passage of SAVE America Act

Vice President JD Vance said Congress must pass the SAVE America Act “now” or Democrats will “destroy this country.”

“I would bet every dollar that I own that the next time the Democrats have control of the Senate, they will break the filibuster, pack the Supreme Court and destroy this country,” he told podcaster Benny Johnson on Friday.

“We have to do it now in order to save the country.”

The act would require verification of citizenship and a photo ID to vote, something present in most other countries but stubbornly resisted by Democrats, who have filibustered the legislation in the Senate.
