‘We’re gay but this is crazy’: Lesbian couple shocked by Barnes & Noble’s LGBT kids’ book section

A lesbian couple was overwhelmed by Barnes & Noble’s gay bookshelf for children during Pride month.

“We’re gay but this is crazy,” one says while naming off titles such as Bye Bye, Binary, which features a baby with a mohawk on the cover.

“What? For a baby?” one comments while perusing The Gay BC’s. “Why did it start so crazy?”

“I is for intersex?” she continued. “It’s pushing it. For a baby, it’s pushing it.”

Other visible titles include Love Makes a Family, with a gay couple on the cover, and Busy Pride.
