Madison Kenyon, who ran cross country at Idaho State University, gave CNN a simple lesson on how sports – and biology – work.
“When women compete against women, it is fair,” Kenyon said Tuesday. “When you put a man in women’s athletics, it’s not fair.”
Kenyon and Kristen Waggoner, President & CEO of Alliance Defending Freedom, were on the network to comment on the current Supreme Court case about whether states can ban transgender individuals from women’s sports.
CNN’s Brianna Keilar acknowledged that the majority of Americans agree with Kenyon, but pressed her about “inclusion.” Kenyon refused to budge.
“Sports is based on biology, and that’s why it’s important that women only compete against women.”
