(Daily Caller News Foundation) – Students who walked out of Enumclaw High School in Washington state Friday assaulted and threatened to shoot independent journalists.
Across the country, students have walked out of schools to protest operations by United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), especially since Department of Homeland Security officers were involved in the fatal shootings of Alex Pretti and Renee Nicole Good in January. Before the reporters who went by the X handles of “Conspiracookie,” “ChrisxSims” and “DannyRebel333” were assaulted, they posted videos of the walkout.
“If I had a gun, I’d pew-pew your motherf***ing **s and all you b*tches,” one female student told “DannyRebel333” in videos taken shortly before another student punched him, adding, “I said what I said.”
Another video showed a student punching “DannyRebel333” and moving around, yelling at the journalists. “DannyRebel333” later went to the emergency room to be evaluated for a concussion, “Conspiracookie” reported.
Video showed police moving in and making arrests after the assaults, with at least two students being led away in handcuffs. Enumclaw Police confirmed that two arrests were made, with one student being charged with assault, obstruction and resisting arrest, while another was charged with obstruction, according to a Friday Facebook post.
“Conspiracookie” posted that adults who were supervising the students at the protest appeared to be interfering when students were talking with the independent journalists
“‘Chaperones’ of a STUDENT WALKOUT were CURSING at me and trying to TALK SHIT! Meanwhile, I was just talking to a young lady and others about their thoughts on the protest, immigration and political division,” she posted. “I am grateful for the student walkout protestors willing to talk to me instead of yelling, screaming and throwing things at me. As you can see it was chaotic. Many protestors tried to de-escalate throughout the entire ordeal – I am proud of those kids for showing us all that many of them have a great head on their shoulders.”
The superintendent of Enumclaw School District and the Enumclaw District School Board did not immediately respond to requests for comment from the Daily Caller News Foundation.
