A Biden-approved system that allowed up to 1,450 undocumented aliens per day to enter the U.S. on “parole,” including the ability to work, has ended. So has Vivek Ramaswamy’s involvement in the newly-created Department of Government Efficiency.

Within minutes of Donald Trump taking the oath of office, a notice appeared on the U.S. Customs and Border Patrol website that the CBP One app is no longer available and all existing appointments have been canceled, the Associated Press reported.

The app allowed nearly 1 million people to enter the U.S., according to AP, part of a flood of immigration under Biden.

Trump, a Republican, has promised numerous crackdowns on immigration, as well as efforts to deport illegal immigrants who have committed crimes.

Ramaswamy, a billionaire tech entrepreneur who was supposed to work with fellow billionaire Elon Musk to cut the size of government, will not be joining DOGE afterall because he plans to run for Ohio governor, AP reports.

“Vivek Ramaswamy played a critical role in helping us create DOGE,” Anna Kelly, a spokesperson for the commission, said in a statement. “He intends to run for elected office soon, which requires him to remain outside of DOGE, based on the structure that we announced today. We thank him immensely for his contributions over the last 2 months and expect him to play a vital role in making America great again.”

Ramaswamy, 39, and Musk, 53, were present at Trump’s inauguration Monday.
