Chilling new details about the Wisconsin teen who killed his parents in a plot to assassinate President Donald Trump have been revealed in the unsealed search warrant.
Nikita Casap, 17, was apprehended in Kansas after Wisconsin authorities discovered his dead parents in their home and began tracking the teen through multiple states using his cell phone.
When arrested, Casap was driving his stepfather’s stolen Volkswagen Atlas, which contained a .357 magnum revolver on the passenger seat, ammunition, cash, a pried-open safe, jewelry worth $6,000 and electronic devices.Â
According to the warrant, Casap allegedly killed his parents and stole $14,000 in cash in a plot to acquire a drone to attack Trump using an explosive device.
The warrant also associated Casap with a satanic neo-Nazi group and said he was in communication with a Russian using a Ukrainian mobile phone provider.
FBI Special Agent Justin Mosiman, who submitted the warrant, said that Casap’s stepfather and mother were found dead after the mother of Casap’s stepfather and a school resource officer requested a welfare check on the family.
“The stepfather was shot in the back of the head, and the mother had three gunshot wounds, one close up to the neck and then two others that were non-fatal,” Waukesha County District Attorney Lesli Boese told the court previously, according to local WISN News.
The family hadn’t been seen for two weeks, but video of Casap found on a micro device shows him living with the corpses, which he surrounded with lit candles, as they decomposed.
Waukesha County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO) Crime Lab searched computers, laptops, cell phones, iPads, hard drives, cameras and other storage media used by Casap.
WCSO’s investigation revealed Casap’s affiliation with the Order of Nine Angles (ONA), a satanic neo-Nazi extremist group advocating violence to overthrow governments.
The teen’s phone also contained a manifesto titled “Accelerate the Collapse,” calling for Trump’s assassination to hasten a revolution in the U.S.
Communications on the messaging app Telegram and TikTok showed the teen discussing ONA beliefs, bomb-making and drone attacks with others, including plans to flee to Ukraine post-attack, said the FBI’s warrant.
The teen also coordinated with an overseas individual, believed to be Russian, to acquire a drone with a dropping mechanism for explosives similar to those used on the battlefield in the war between Russia and Ukraine.
A classmate reported Casap’s intent to kill his parents and his communications with a Russian contact about overthrowing the U.S. government, said the warrant.
Messages in Russian show the teen communicating with someone, ostensibly overseas, about the murders and how to cover up discovery of the bodies.
“Reply to them all and say [you] got sick,” said one message in Russian, advising on how Casap should explain his absence from school.
“Take [drag] them to the basement” said another message, advising on how to hide the corpses.
One user on Telegram said the goal of the attack on Trump was to blame Russia.
In another message, this time with another teen in the U.S., Casap mentioned being a follower of Charles Manson, who similarly used murder to try to ignite a revolution.
“As to why, specifically Trump, I think it’s obvious,” said the manifesto written by Casap explaining his crimes, according to the warrant. “By getting rid of the president and perhaps the vice president, that is guaranteed to bring in some chaos. And not only that, but it will further bring into the public the idea that assassinations and accelerating the collapse are possible things to do.”
Other parts of the manifesto advised people to use a Russian search engine to look for methods for making bombs and conducting attacks.
It also contained shocking antisemitic language and leftwing rhetoric about getting rid of billionaires.
“Jewish politicians and billionaires have names and addresses. Find out what they are and kill them,” the Casap manifesto continued. “It is time that we lead the way to the System collapse. Do absolutely anything you can that will lead to the collapse of America or any other country you live in.”
In a court appearance on Wednesday, Casap pleaded not guilty to 10 felony charges including two counts of first degree intentional homicide and two counts of hiding a corpse, two counts of theft of movable property, operating a motor vehicle without the owner’s consent, two counts of identity theft for financial gain and intimidating a witness, reported Courthouse News.  Â
He’s being held on $1 million bond but is likely face federal charges in the case, which will increase the likelihood he won’t be set free anytime soon.
Charges pursued by the government could include conspiracy to commit an offense against the U.S., presidential assassination, use of weapons of mass destruction, and seditious conspiracy to overthrow the government.
