Watch: ‘I’ve had it with these people’: House speaker says Dems will keep government closed until Oct. 18 ‘No Kings’ rally

Democrats will keep the government shut down until at least Oct. 18, House Speaker Mike Johnson says – the date of another “No Kings” protest by groups including Antifa and supporters of Hamas.

“It’s being told to us they won’t be able to reopen the government until after that rally, because they can’t face their rabid base,” Johnson told Fox News on Friday morning.

“I’ve had it with these people. They’re playing games with real people’s lives,” Johnson said. “I can’t believe they’re actually doing this.” 

Senate Democrats refused to support a measure to keep the government open, prompting a shutdown on Oct. 1. Republicans have said the move is politically motivated and reflects a widening split within the Democratic Party and influence of it’s far-left base.
